FREE Twitch Graphics, Banner Labels And Screens

Yes you read right, FREE Twitch graphics.

I had some free time recently and thought I would create some 'generic' graphics for use with game streamers, namely Twitch.

I've visited many streams over the years and most of the time I think to myself "wow their graphics look horrible" (like something drawn in M$ Paint that took all of a minute to create).

I've also tried to google 'free twitch graphics', and saw/found that any good ones are hard to come by (at least in my opinion), or if they are good, they cost. Most that I saw were very plain/generic (2 solid colors), or bad pattern/layout or bad color scheme, etc.

None-the-less, I have created some graphics that are 'generic', but more appealing to the eye than most (I hope). I left the color scheme very subtle and mostly kept it to a white/black/grey/translucent theme, although the hint of color within (default is a blue/grey) is easily changeable via hue adjustment. The font used is clean/simplistic with a hint of shade and a solid border.

I have created as many generic banner labels as I could possibly think of, as well as creating a few 1920x1080 'screens', namely 'starting stream', 'be right back', 'intermission', 'ending stream' and 'stream offline'.

Anyway... here are the graphics (free to use, but please include the 'graphics by soulkobk' banner on your page). Whether on a white, grey or black page background the banners look nice and clean.

*Note that the 'pink' sections of the above graphics are 'chroma key' sections (usable within OBS) to make it translucent so that you can place a web cam or such behind it. One of them is a 4:3 ratio, the other is a 16:9 ratio.

Please also note that any 'custom' adjustments (color changes, custom additions, text changes, etc) to these screen graphics will incur a small charge to do so. Again... please do NOT modify any of the graphics in any way.

I have also created a Twitter/Twitch banner in the same theme should anyone want one, but this will also incur a small charge. The example is below...

Gaming 4 Gamers, New Logo Creation

I was approached recently by G4G aka Gaming 4 Gamers clan to "create a logo that will look good on a tshirt".

Here's a look at the completed logo before the explanation...

After a week or so of brainstorming, I thought a black/grey/white color combo would go well, as then it could be put on any color tshirt... so I got to designing something. After a few revisions and enhancements... the below is what I originally came up with.

After another discussion with G4G and wanting some changes to the logo, the below logo was the next revision...

I then also created one with lettering as well as a round variant due to 'wanting it to fit discord' so I came up with the following... (as below).

The design is symmetrical with a base of black with white highlights and grey-scale 'shine' similar to a metallic (brushed aluminum) surface. As most logo's, it consists of a G and a backwards G (which most see initially as a P... but it's a logo, not text). Then there's the four vertical lines, which of course represent the '4' in G4G.

The way in which I have designed the logo allows for an easy change of hue in order to colorize the logo to any possible color... examples below.

All in all, I spent a fair amount of time and effort in creating this logo, so I hope it now gets used to brand G4G, aka Gaming4Gamers.

myBB, Custom Gaming Clan Community Forum Example

So I've spent the last few weeks dabbling in the realms of web hosting, specifically a forum for gaming clans, that being myBB with a custom theme.

I wanted to attempt at creating my own custom forum, as I had never attempted it before. I chose myBB as a base due to having used it within the gaming realm before and I quite liked it, although it was all front-end, and not anything involving customization or administration. As I always do... I jump in the deep end, and hopefully stay afloat... and yes, I did stay afloat. I got a web hosting presence, set up myBB and a base theme then customized it a lot. Layout, icons, text, etc etc etc were changed, custom pages added, custom widgets (donate, gametracker, teamspeak, discord) all themed to the base theme.

You can check out my creation below (screen shot) which is based upon the gaming clan "Total Annihilation Gaming" to which I am a founder/administrator there. The [TAG] color scheme is green/yellow, to which all the graphics shown are also my own creation (yeh, I can kinda do it all, hehe). Anyway... check it out below.

Sinntra_k, Twitch Channel Banner Graphics

After another request to help out a twitch streamer of a friend (Stickofish) named Sinntra_k, I got to designing something based on the requests that were made.

Him being an anime fan, he wanted something themed as such, so I was provided with the anime character graphics for the banners and the base color codes that were wanted (the blue and white) and was left up to the creativeness (I am the graphic designer after all, hehe).

So after some idea storming, quickly researching anime, I came up with a fitting banner theme within the scope of the project. The characters were placed and slightly manipulated to blend, and some layering and effects were applied to create a nice balance between the background to the foreground whilst keeping the main point of aspect bright and easily readable/viewable whether on a light or dark background.

I did not present a 'WIP' for review, I just ran with it from start to finish and presented the end-result, which you can see below...

 

These banners look great whether on a light or dark background, and were designed that way, as some people use the vanilla twitch theme, some use addons for a dark background (as I do).

The responses I got from when I presented the banners were "that's awesome", "wow", "I'm blown away"... it always pleases me when I get responses like that.

Arma 3 - Battle Royale CQC... And A Merry Christmas And Happy New Year!

Although I have not been overly active in posting blog updates, since my last blog post, I have still been doing my ArmA 3 scripting (mainly for A3Wasteland which you can find over on my GitHub account) and some graphic design (behind the scenes).

I have also ventured back to my ArmA 3 Last-Man-Standing 'roots'... sorta. What I mean is... last year in November/December 2015 I was a total newbie at ArmA 3 coding/scripting... and whilst the 'fall-out' with those over at 'Battle Royale', I managed to download the 'Battle Royale - Ghost Hotel' mission files, and have a nosey/dabble inside the code. After messing around with the code, changing it around, 'fixing' things, etc... I sort-of left it as-was back then and didn't touch it again until now (a year later).

What I have basically done is 'fixed', as well as enhanced the 'Battle Royale - Ghost Hotel' mission. I created multiple locations on the map of  Altis, so that every round was no longer at 'Ghost Hotel'. I totally re wrote the timing routine for the circle zones for proper structure and notifications. I totally re did the loot spawn system, so that it is less glitchy and quicker at dispersing loot each round. The loot table was also updated to use 'Vanilla' and the 'APEX' ArmA 3 assets.

All-in-all, my 'Battle Royale - Ghost Hotel' modification to 'Battle Royale - CQC' (Close Quarters Combat) was just for learning purposes on my part, as I was a total newbie at the time. The basic *BRGH code is very hit-n-miss (clunky)... so yeh... I did change a fair bit of it for use with **BRCQC.

There is an "ArmA 3 **BRCQC" server online at the moment (I'm still ironing out bugs, but for the most part, it works great), so if you would like to test it out, search for "Battle Royale CQC" on the mission section or via game mode "Last Man Standing", and it should pop up, be sure to join with NO mods loaded... vanilla only! The rounds consist of 2 minutes of initial 'loot time', until the zoning starts and will consist of 6 zone shifts/shrinks every 4 minutes. Each round can last a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 26 minutes, but players are free to join and wait in the spawn area whilst a round is currently in progress.

I have done a lot of enhancements/changes to the mission for use with **BRCQC. Give me feedback if you so please, report bugs, issues, whatever.

Again, this mission was/is for learning purposes for myself... it's similar (has the base structure of *BRGH, all credits to Lystic) to *BRGH, but now every round is a different location with different loot! Great learning for when my own 100% self-coded Last-Man-Standing mod comes to fruition.

*BRGH = Battle Royale - Ghost Hotel.

**BRCQC = Battle Royale - CQC (Close Quarters Combat).

Also, as it's getting real close to Christmas and 2017 isn't that far off either. I thought I would also say...
